Japan Platform has mobilized the "Emergency Response to the Western Japan Floods" in response to the record-breaking torrential rain through cooperating with other NGOs members.
NHK has reported that
・The number of deaths has reached 201.
・about 5,000 people in 16 prefectures were staying at evacuation shelters.
・about 203,000 households were still without running water.
